Timor-Leste Exclusive Area (TLEA) refers to the Territory of Timor-Leste as defined by the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and Law on Maritime Boundaries as amended from time to time, and Law No.1/2019 of 18 January, first amendment to the Law No.13/2019 of 2nd September on Petroleum Activities Law, The Laws provides that the State of Timor-Leste shall exercise sovereign rights for the purpose of exploring, managing and using Petroleum Operations, but excluding any Onshore Petroleum Operations in the territorial sea, together with its exclusive economic zone and continental shelf as well as other rights as recognized by international law; Beside other legislation that relevant to the petroleum operation that fall under other relevant government competency, following is the relevant legislations applicable for Petroleum Operations that fall under the ANPM mandate and the existing petroleum contracts:
