It is with great pleasure that we present to you the 2009 Annual Report of the Autoridade Nacional do Petrόleo (ANP) Timor-Leste. The ANP was only one and a half year old in December 2009, yet the challenges that it faced throughout the year were notably significant. Despite the challenges it faced, with the complementing roles of the executives and the Board of Directors, significant achievement was made both at the corporate level, and at the operational level with the PSC operators in which the ANP plays its role as the petroleum regulatory authority. Annual Report 2008
The year 2008 has been a very challenging year for the ANP- Timor-Leste. The ANP has grown both as an organization and as petroleum authority. Preparation began in early 2008 for the establishment of the ANP and this include identifying key TL nationals expected to assume higher responsibilities. Upon the establishment of the ANP, Challenges mounted to the newly established organization as only a handful of experiences staff were left to administer highly professional petroleum operations. Further, the relocation of the ANP office to Palácio do Governo is another real challenge by its own.
