The Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo de Timor-Leste (ANP) is proud to announce the establishment of the Enterprise Support Services Center (ESSC), an innovative online platform designed to serve as a central hub for procuring local goods and services for Petroleum Operations in Timor-Leste. This initiative is particularly significant as it aligns with the imminent decommissioning of the Bayu-Undan oil field.
The goals of the Enterprise Support Services Center (ESSC) are:
- Increase Participation of Timor-Leste Enterprises: Enhance the involvement of local businesses in the oil and gas sector by providing necessary support and resources to help them compete and succeed.
- Qualified Suppliers: Ensure the availability of qualified suppliers within the region by creating a pool of suppliers who meet international standards, thereby improving the overall quality and reliability of the supply chain.
- Build Local Capacity: Develop the skills and capabilities of local suppliers to participate effectively in the oil and gas procurement value chain.
- Generate Meaningful Local Content: Promote the creation of local content that adds value to the Timorese economy and supports sustainable development.
- Facilitate Engagement: Encourage interaction between operators and subcontractors to foster a collaborative environment.
- Foster Alliances and Partnerships: Promote partnerships between international suppliers and Timor-Leste suppliers to enhance cooperation and mutual growth.
These goals align with the strategic objectives outlined in Timor-Leste’s 2011-2030 Economic Development Plan, aiming to maximize the participation of Timorese citizens and companies in the petroleum industry.
