Timorese graduates secure places in leading oil & gas training program

Today in a ceremony in Dili, ConocoPhillips, together with the Government of Timor-Leste welcomed 14 graduates into the 2018 Foundational Skills Training and Internship Program – Phase 1.
ConocoPhillips Australia and the Government of Timor-Leste have collaborated to develop a two-phase program to provide young Timorese professionals with the opportunity to gain valuable technical and on-the job experience in the oil and gas industry. Following the success of a pilot program which was held in 2014 and 2015, the parties came to agreement to conduct a second 18 month program which commences in Dili today. The program is funded by the Bayu-Undan Project joint venture partners ConocoPhillips, Santos, INPEX, Eni and Tokyo Timor Sea Resources under a cost recoverable scheme.
